Hi all!!

It's been a couple of months since my last update. I've been busy focusing on my other projects (Wrong Number's steam release, DLC, and third book) so I haven't made much progress on Moral Retrograde's story... until now!!!

I've plotted, outlined, written, re-written and stressed over the prologue for a while. In the end, I decided to take a short break away and when I returned to just have fun with the writing and instead of trying to make the Liar and Truth routes mirror each other exactly (which you can kind of see with the choices given in the first half of the prologue), they're going to veer into very different timelines in the second half of the prologue.

Here's a look at the choices for each route in the second half.

Since I'm taking a more relaxed approach to writing now (and having more fun since it's less stressful), the prologue's jumped from the initially intended 7k words up to 10k words. And it's still not done!! I still have several scenes to write for the prologue before I even do any revising and editing. 

Scope Creep is real, guys.

As such, I apologise to anyone that was waiting for the extended demo to be released at the end of this year.  I'm pushing the extended demo's release out to early/mid next year so I can ensure that players get the most of the story. I'll also be remaking the sprite art if I have time, as well as drawing 2 new NPC characters that will appear throughout the story.

And what's my overall take home message?

If you're stressing and not having fun, take a break. This is game dev, not surgery, no one is going to die from the game being delayed.
