Today I received the finished cover art for book 3: Just 69cm Between Us.

And OMG! It's so beautiful that I haven't been able to stop crying because I'm so happy. Our artist Yuusagichi did such an amazing job, I am forever grateful <3

Now that we have the cover art, I'll be finalising the book for ebook and paperback release. We're currently in talk of making this sweet little novella into a light novel!! 

What is a light novel, and how does it differ to a novella?

This can be a bit tricky to define, as there is no clear cut definition. However, the term light novel originated from Japan, and is often used to describe books that are shorter in length (such as a novella) and include the occasional manga style illustration page throughout. Some people will also argue the book's topics and intended audience will determine whether or not it is a light novel. But for my sake, I'll be using the term light novel to refer to a written book that includes several full page illustrations. 

So what does this mean? 

It means we'll be running a Kickstarter in March to raise funds for the internal illustrations! Woohoo!
The book will still be released if the campaign fails, just as a novella, but a successful campaign will mean more art of Luka and Xander during their little date interstate (and I, for one, want to see that!)
