Sometimes the Itch search function really frustrates me. I've been on a big VN kick for about 2 years now and I thought I'd found everything that had already been released that was worth reading. And now I discover this has been out for over 6 months and had NEVER heard of it?!?! Unforgivable.
Great little visual novel. It's nice to find a project that limits it's scope but nails the feeling and tone. I don't always need some sweeping epic story and 6 dateable characters in a visual novel, sometimes a more contained story with great characters feels far more satisfying. As an Australian I cringed a little at some of the voice acting. There was one point where someone said Yarra and I died a little inside, but that was a minor gripe (I usually turn of voice acting in VNs completely to be honest). Xander was a treasure, and the relationship (no matter the ending) that developed between Xander and Luka was a breath of fresh air in the queer VN space. A very honest reflection of modern queer dating.
Haha! I think I know exactly which line you're talking about, the VA for Ash is one of the few that isn't an Aussie. But he still did a great job after we went through how to pronounce Yarra and Maccas, so I'm proud of him.
I'm glad you like Xander, he was a fun character to write and draw.
This game has everything I'm looking for in a visual novel. I loved everything about the all endings, but I want to highlight Luka, who is a protagonist with great charisma and who I wish I could see more of.
I just played it and complete all endings! (thanks for the walkthrough guide ;)) Luka is very funny and enjoyable, it's refreshing to have a male lead confident and flirty. I really like all the characters, their personality & dynamics are both genuine and entertaining. Xander is very sweet and lovely but I especially fall in love with Ash. I love this kind of best friend relationship and hoped for an ending with him even a friend ending or whatsoever but sadly... :') I wonder if he had feelings for Luka when they were younger because there were some clues and one thing he said (or maybe I'm just dreaming haha) Are they any chance that you make an extra, epilogue, or spin-off of the game?
ALSO, the voices are just perfect for each character. Big thumbs up to the cast, the voices actors played very well. Not too much to feel awkward but well enough to seem convincing.
Anyway, I had a very good time playing Wrong Number and I feel glad to have supported the game on Kickstarter and waited for it. Wishing you the best for your next projects!
Extended demo = more content = more fun! Also, doesn't "more is more" sound like something Luka would say? It almost startled me how straight forward he is, but it makes for a real fun vibe. I wish there was more voice acting (though I know it's a lot to even have this much in an indie game) as I really enjoyed the parts we do have. Looking forward to the full game even more now!
I just want to thank you for listing Filipino and Pacific Islander as two separate things. I'm part Filipino (Tsinoy), and I've met so many other Filipino people (including my own parents) who think we're Pacific Islanders rather than Asian. But Pacific Islanders are their own minority group, and their community faces different issues that many Filipinos aren't aware of when they use the label.
Welp, I just randomly found this scrolling through games and I already love it! The comedy in this game was just hilarious, can't wait to play the finished product.
it's looking good so far! also i was really pleasantly surprised when they mentioned 'melbourne central'. haven't found many aussie made games like this before.
I like this so far! The music is chill and mellow, the art is so pretty (including the bedroom background :0), and I like how within the brief few minutes of gameplay we get, we still get a feel for the characters. I'm excited to see progress on this game, because so far it's looking really good :D

Wrong Number does tie in with my other games, so a sequel or spin-off is very likely. Hehe.
